Another 365 Update!

January 26

This is David doing the dishes. He never does the dishes. I was so shocked, I had to photograph it. It might be the last time he ever does the dishes!

January 25

This is my annual birthday tarot reading. I'm still working on the interpretation, but it looks like its going to be an interesting year!

January 24
This is how anal I am about party planning. I'm having a dessert themed birthday party for myself this weekend. These are my sketches for the cookies I'm baking and the dessert buffet table I'm constructing. Hopefully everything turns out. I've got a lot of baking and decorating ahead of me!

Photo Time!

Here's another post for my 365 Day Photo Challenge!

January 23

This is my Sookie. I love hanging with her. She is such a cuddle bug. She likes to snuggle with me, no matter what I'm doing. In fact at this very moment, she is on my lap, resting her head on my laptop.

January 22

These are the ingredients for a drink I tried to recreate. Its been years since I've bought liquor. I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker. Last month on vacation, I ordered a drink called "Raspberry Rain". It was delicious, so I tried to recreate it for my birthday party next week. I couldn't find all of the ingredients, so I had to improvise with Welch's Passionfruit Juice. It turned out delicious!

January 21

A snapshot of my commute home. Sometimes I really hate the drive home.

January 20

Enjoying Angels & Demons on our giant movie screen in the basement.

Almost 10 days in and I'm loving it still!

365 Photo Challenge Part 2

This is my second post in the 365 photo challenge. So far....so good!
January 19
These are my coworkers Linda and Todd. Todd is leaving us this week, so Linda and I presented him with an excellence award. He is not only one of our mechanics, but also our Safety Representative. We wanted to acknowledge his contributions as our "Safety Guy".

January 18
"Me and my giant box". This one is special, for my coworker and friend, Mike. We have a running inside joke about boxes. Earlier in the day we were joking about it, so I thought this would be a great way to laugh about it some more.
I am loving this challenge. I'm excited too because my friend Jamie joined in the challenge too!
More to come!

365 Photo Challenge

I've decided to take on a new challenge. The 365 Photo Challenge. I've committed to taking 1 photo every single day. I'll be posting these photos on here, with explanation of each. At first it sounded like an easy challenge, but I'm starting to realize how this might actually be tough. I'm three days in and really digging the idea so far. I'm pretty excited to get to the end of the year and see what I documented this whole time. I wonder how different my life will look one year from now. I'm excited to have a photo documentary of the progressive change!
Thanks to Jackie for getting me into this idea! She's doing the challenge too, so check out what she is up to.
What to join? Check out the details here. If you do join, leave me a comment so I can follow your journey too! So, lets get started....

January 17
This is my messy kitchen. I'm making Royal Icing for decorating sugar cookies.
January 16
This is my lovely fleece electric blanket. Its folded up in the corner because I have to return it. I've had it a few weeks, and fell in love with it. Then, it malfunctioned. I spent 40 minutes on hold waiting for someone from the manufacturer to help me. No one ever picked up the line, so now I'm returning it to Overstock.com. I am so sad to part with it.

January 15
Just came home from the grocery store with all my Special K. I am going to try the 2 week challenge. Day one, photo challenge and Special K challenge. We shall see!
I hope some of you join in this photo challenge!

Goodbye 2009....Hello 2010

Its New Year's Day, and I get to reflect on the year past and look forward to the year coming.

Lets start with moving forward. As most people do, I have some resolutions I intend to keep this year. I may even blog about them on here. One thing I have already accomplished and its only the first day is, being published again!
Check me out in Scrapstreet Magazine again! Here is the link to my layout. Check out my Tutorials section on how to make the flowers featured.

Now a look back at 2009. My list of Top 9 of 2009 (in no particular order)
1. Bought my first house
2. Adopted our puppy Sookie
3. Celebrated 3 years with David
4. Was published in Scrapstreet Magazine (this was the first time!)
5. Got into cake decorating! Check out my other blog: Fairytale Frosting
6. Family vacation in Disney World for Christmas
7. Hosting my first Thanksgiving dinner (even if the turkey didn't quite turn out!)
8. Lots of fun nights seeing Hairball play (my favorite 80's cover band!)
9. Weekend at Feetie Cove with David

I hope everyone was as blessed in 2009 as I was! Here's to 2010 being even better! Happy New Year!
